Russian and Ukrainian Forces Take Down Enemy Drones.

The Ukrainian military announced on Thursday that Russia had launched a drone and missile attack overnight. In response, Russia reported that Ukrainian air strikes targeted the Moscow area just hours before President Vladimir Putin’s end-of-year press conference.

The Ukrainian air force reported downing 41 out of 42 drones that were launched by Russian forces, with the majority of them being in the southern region of Odesa.

According to a message on Telegram by Odesa’s regional governor, Oleh Kiper, falling debris caused damage to several structures, including a dormitory. Kiper also mentioned that there were 11 reported injuries.

According to Kiper, Russian forces targeted port facilities in the Izmail region, situated on the Danube river, and caused damage to multiple warehouses.

The air defense forces of Russia reported that they successfully intercepted and destroyed nine Ukrainian drones in the Moscow and Kaluga areas.

The Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, stated that two drones were shot down near Naro-Fominsk, a town located southwest of the Russian capital. Sobyanin confirmed that there were no reports of harm or injuries.
