In the most recent overnight attacks, Russia and Ukraine have successfully taken down unmanned aerial vehicles.

Both Russia and Ukraine reported preventing drone attacks from each other on Thursday.

The Ukrainian military stated that they successfully shot down 22 out of the 33 drones launched by Russia during their overnight attacks. They also mentioned that some of the remaining drones were unable to reach their intended destinations due to Ukrainian air defenses.

The majority of the unmanned aerial vehicles were aimed towards the northern and southern parts of Ukraine, specifically the Sumy, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk areas.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that they successfully shot down a Ukrainian drone over the Moscow area and intercepted another near St. Petersburg, the second largest city in the country.

According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin’s message on Telegram, there were no injuries or destruction caused by the debris of a drone that was shot down.

The Associated Press and Reuters provided some content for this report.
