After a decade since the Maidan protests, activists in Ukraine claim that their struggle is ongoing.


Ten years have passed since the beginning of the uprising in Ukraine, also known as Maidan or the Revolution of Dignity. The protests were triggered by the Russian-backed President Viktor Yanukovych’s refusal to sign an association agreement with the European Union, leading to a three-month resistance movement. VOA spoke with three activists who were involved in Maidan and whose lives, as well as their country, were forever transformed in November 2013.
