A program for former child soldiers has been implemented in Liberia to address the issue of drug abuse.

In 2023, the Global Action for Sustainable Development released a report stating that Liberia is facing a significant loss of its younger generation due to drug abuse. The capital city, Monrovia, is particularly affected with over 800 drug hubs and an estimated 100,000 drug users. To combat this issue, a group of former child soldiers who have been rehabilitated are now actively fighting against drugs, using behavioral therapy methods. Senanu Tord reports from Monrovia, with video editing by Henry Hernandez.
