The International Court of Justice has accepted to consider a portion of the case regarding genocide between Ukraine and Russia.

The top court of the United Nations has stated that it can make a decision on Kyiv’s appeal for a statement declaring that it is not accountable for Russia’s allegations of genocide. This was used as a reason by the Kremlin before their invasion of Ukraine in 2022. VOA’s Arash Arabasadi provides further details.
