The Ukrainian military reports that it successfully destroyed a Russian vessel in the vicinity of Crimea.

On Wednesday, Ukraine’s armed forces reported that they successfully destroyed a Russian Navy vessel in the Black Sea close to the occupied Crimea region.

The Russian vessel was recognized by the Ukrainian military as the Caesar Kunikov. It was reported to have been present near the city of Alupka during the attack.

Russia did not provide a comment immediately.

In the last two years, Ukrainian forces have successfully destroyed multiple ships belonging to Russia’s Black Sea fleet, which occurred during Russia’s complete invasion of Ukraine.

The defense ministry of Russia announced that they successfully intercepted and destroyed nine drones from Ukraine during the night, with six of them being over the Black Sea.

The Russian ministry reported that two additional drones were stopped in the Belgorod area and one was taken down above Voronezh.

On Wednesday, Ukrainian authorities reported that several Russian assaults during the night resulted in the deaths of at least three individuals near Donetsk, a city in eastern Ukraine.

On Telegram, the Selydove city administration reported that nine residential buildings and a hospital were damaged by Russian attacks.

Aside from the three fatalities, an additional 12 individuals sustained injuries.

On Wednesday, Vadym Filashkin, the governor of the region, stated on Telegram that 100 patients were transferred to hospitals in nearby towns following the strike on the hospital.

Before the war, Selydove’s population was over 20,000 and it is currently located approximately 20 kilometers west of the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine.

There has been a rise in assaults in the region according to Ukrainian authorities over the past few weeks.
