The government of Ukraine believes that those who are suggesting talks with Russia are not properly informed.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, declined any requests for discussions with Russia in light of their invasion of Ukraine on Thursday.
According to Kuleba’s post on X, individuals who suggest that Ukraine should engage in negotiations with Russia at this time are either not well-informed or have been deceived. Alternatively, they may be in support of Russia and desire for Putin to delay further aggression.
According to Kuleba, Ukraine will not succumb to this trap.
On Wednesday, the Kremlin announced its intention to participate in discussions.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, his team will not engage in talks until Russia removes all of its troops from the occupied territories in Ukraine.
On Thursday, Kuleba stated that from 2014 to 2022, there were a total of 200 discussions between Ukraine and Russia, which involved 20 agreements for a cease-fire. Despite these efforts, Russia proceeded with its full-scale invasion of Ukraine last year.
