The Dnipro Power Plant has been damaged by a Russian attack.

On Tuesday, Ukraine stated that Russia launched an attack overnight using 23 drones. The eastern city of Dnipro was one of the targets, and officials reported that a power plant sustained damage.

The Mayor of Dnipro, Borys Filatov, announced on Telegram that an infrastructure was impacted, but did not provide details on what was targeted or the extent of the destruction.

According to a message on Telegram, the private energy company DTEK revealed that one of its thermal power facilities was significantly harmed due to attacks from Russia, resulting in the cessation of electricity generation.

The company reported no injuries or fatalities.

According to Serhiy Lysak, the governor of the region, Russia has launched a large-scale assault on the area, resulting in 10 drones being shot down by Ukrainian air defenses in the Dnipro region.

The Ukrainian air force reported that their air defense successfully took down 16 out of 23 Russian drones, while the remaining ones were intercepted in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
