The demolition of a dam in the Dnipro River has resulted in the uncovering of significant archaeological findings.
In June 2023, the Kakhovka Dam in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region was destroyed by an explosion, causing a decrease in water level in the reservoir above it. In the recently revealed sections of the Khortytsia National Reserve, archaeologists have discovered numerous valuable artifacts. Anna Rice narrates the story reported by Eva Myronova.
