The country of Russia is making claims that Ukraine carried out a “monstrous” assault on a bakery.

On Monday, Russia accused Ukraine of committing a “monstrous” assault on a bakery in a city that is occupied by Russia in eastern Ukraine.

On Saturday, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Kremlin, referred to the attack in Lysychansk as a terrorist act targeting vital infrastructure.

According to Russia, the assault resulted in the death of 28 individuals.

Before Russia’s invasion, the city of Lysychansk had a population of approximately 110,000 people. In the summer of 2022, it was captured by Russia and is now located 15 kilometers away from Ukrainian-controlled territory.

There was no statement from Ukrainian officials regarding the attack.

Both Russia and Ukraine have made accusations against each other for carrying out attacks on civilian locations. Ukraine has reported numerous instances of Russian missile and drone strikes targeting cities in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that he is contemplating replacing a number of high-ranking officials, not only in the military, in order to select the most qualified individuals to lead Ukraine.

During a televised interview on Italian state RAI television on Sunday, Zelenskyy stated that a “reset” is needed as he contemplates the most suitable individuals to oversee different industries in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy announced that potential modifications may involve the removal of his highest-ranking military leader, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

In November of last year, Zelenskyy scolded Zaluzhnyi for making statements to a Western news source claiming that the conflict in Ukraine had reached a new stage of wearing down the opposing forces.

On Sunday morning, Zelenskyy made a trip to the southeastern front to meet with Ukrainian soldiers.

Zelenskyy honored pilots with medals and received a report on multiple Russian assaults in the Dnipropetrovsk area. He also learned about the implementation of Western and hybrid air defense systems to safeguard Ukraine’s airspace.
