Hungary is using its power to prevent Ukraine from receiving a large amount of financial assistance from Europe and also to reject its request to join the European Union. This conflict between Brussels and Budapest has been intensifying, prompting the EU Council president to visit Hungary on Monday in an attempt to ease tensions before an important summit in December.
