US House Passes Bill Forcing TikTok to Separate From Chinese Parent Company
On Wednesday, the bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives requires TikTok, a popular short-video platform with 170 million American users, to break away from its Chinese company, ByteDance, or else it risks being banned. According to VOA Congressional Correspondent Katherine Gypson, the Senate may not pass the bill.
