During his visit to Kyiv on Tuesday, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell stated that he would address the EU’s consistent military and financial backing for Ukraine.
The visit occurred shortly after the EU granted approval for a four-year, $54 billion aid plan for Ukraine.
Borrell stated that he intends to address Ukraine’s progress towards EU membership during his meetings in Kyiv, as well as discussing potential reforms within the country.
On Tuesday, Rafal Grossi, the leader of the International Atomic Energy Agency, made a trip to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
Grossi stated that he will be communicating with authorities and evaluating the current state of nuclear safety and security at the location, which falls within a region of Ukraine that is under Russian jurisdiction.
Furthermore, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has voiced apprehension over a decrease in staffing at the site, in addition to concerns regarding the security of nuclear fuel.

According to Ukrainian authorities, a missile attack carried out by Russia in the northeastern region of Ukraine resulted in the death of one individual and the injury of three others.
According to Oleg Sinegubov, the governor of Kharkiv region, two S-300 missiles were responsible for the destruction of a three-story hotel in Zolochiv city.
The defense ministry of Russia reported destroying seven Ukrainian drones in the Belgorod region, adjacent to Ukraine.
The regional governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported on Telegram that buildings were damaged in multiple towns, including Gubkin and Volokonova, due to debris from the downed drones.
