Kyiv and Mykolaiv are the targets of a recent series of missile attacks from Russia.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, at least three individuals were killed in Kyiv and Mykolaiv due to missile attacks by Russia on Wednesday.

Zelenskyy posted on social media about a large-scale Russian airstrike on our nation. This attack targeted six regions and our teams are currently taking action to address the aftermath of this act of terror.

The military of Ukraine reported a significant series of attacks from Russia, consisting of 20 drones, 36 cruise missiles, five S-300 guided missiles, and three ballistic missiles.

The Ukrainian air force reported that their air defense systems successfully neutralized 15 out of 20 drones and 29 out of 44 missiles.

President Zelensky reported that the Russian assault resulted in the death of one individual in Mykolaiv and caused extensive damage to numerous homes in the city.

According to Zelenskyy, two individuals lost their lives and at least 10 others sustained injuries in the city of Kyiv.

The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported on Telegram that a tall building was hit and that the strikes also caused power outages in certain areas.

European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, who is visiting Kyiv, posted on X that he was starting his day Wednesday in a shelter amid the air alarms.

Borrell stated that the courageous people of Ukraine face this reality on a daily basis due to Russia’s initiation of unlawful aggression.

In his Tuesday evening speech, Zelenskyy declared the creation of a specialized military division centered on drones.

According to Zelenskyy, unmanned systems have demonstrated their effectiveness in combat on land, in the air, and at sea.

Zelenskyy stated that the primary objective of the drone program will be to prevent Russian ground attacks and the extensive destruction of Russian forces and their equipment.

In the past few months, Ukraine has been utilizing drones more frequently to attack areas within Russia and has also been targeting Russian naval bases in Crimea.
